Javeena A. Edwards, MBA

Javeena A. Edwards, MBA, brings over 15 years of comprehensive experience in accounting and finance across diverse industries, including banking, manufacturing, medical, and nonprofit sectors. Her expertise spans various areas such as system integration, corporate acquisitions, talent and leadership development, financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.

Currently, Javeena serves as the Chief Financial Officer of Girl Scouts of WNY (GSWNY). She has previously held the role of Interim CEO at GSWNY, where her leadership contributed to the organization being named one of the Top 10 Places to Work in NYS for five consecutive years. Her tenure saw strengthened relationships with elected officials and community partners, as well as the successful launch of the "I Belong" product line.
In addition to her role at GSWNY, Javeena owns JWV Consulting Firm, LLC, providing financial consulting and bookkeeping services to nonprofits and small businesses in the WNY area. Her academic credentials include a Bachelor’s degree in Finance from the University at Buffalo School of Management, an MBA from Medaille University, and graduation from Leadership Buffalo in 2022.

Beyond her professional achievements, Javeena is actively involved in her community. She has served on several boards, including as Vice President of the Foundation Board at Crisis Services of WNY, Treasurer of the Board at Buffalo Commons Charter School, and is currently a Board Trustee for Tapestry Charter School and a Board Member for Peaceprints of WNY. Her deep connection to Buffalo, where she was born and raised, fuels her commitment to serving underserved populations and fostering community engagement.

Javeena is a dedicated wife to a Buffalo firefighter and a mother of three. She is passionate about giving back and believes in the importance of community engagement to help others achieve their goals. Her favorite Bible scripture serves as the foundation of her success and commitment to making a positive impact in her community, “My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience.
